Hinomaru

Our reader Simone Panico from Chieti is a motorcycle enthusiast, mechanic and tire reparer. He decided for once to combine business with pleasure and the desire to build something with his own hands... We bloody like the result.

Il nostro lettore Simone Panico di Chieti è un meccanico gommista appassionato di moto. Ha deciso per una volta di unire il lavoro al piacere e alla voglia di realizzare qualcosa con le sue mani. Il risultato ci piace da morire.

Simone has long sought the model that best fit his project, he analyzed the second hand market prices, the cost of the modifications, the difficulties of implementation and assessed the possible final result: he really didn’t want to start a project that would not have been able to complete. During this search he came across the Inazuma Tzar, the famous racer by Sylvain Berneron and Pascal Raspo (they both claim the idea of this project, while we limit ourselves to appreciate it), and he felt in love with his style.

Simone ha cercato a lungo il modello che meglio si prestasse, ha analizzato i prezzi dell’usato, i costi delle modifiche, le difficoltà della realizzazione e valutato il possibile risultato finale: non intendeva iniziare un progetto che non avrebbe potuto finire. Durante queste ricerche si è imbattuto nella Inazuma Tzar, la celeberrima racer di Sylvain Berneron e Pascal Raspo (entrambi ne vantano la paternità, mentre noi ci limitiamo ad apprezzarla), e si è innamorato delle sue linee.

"I bought the main parts and took my tools - Simone says - I shortened, cut, welded, bent and lightned the lines of the back. The empty triangle of the frame under the seat drove me crazy. The entire front end is from a CBR 1000, I wanted to change the stock forks because I found them too small and undersized both mechanically and aesthetically. In order to fit the new front end I got help from Officinazero9, run by a dear friend of mine: we sat at the PC and design together the new triple plates with a new particular shape. Then we machined them at CNC. I had to completely redisign the entire electrical system, modify the weiring and move everything under the seat. At front, I moved all the indicator lights inside the head light, a big job. I downsized the ignition lock to use a simple and small key. I change the footrests with Rizoma components, spare parts of my Triumph Speed, the bike I ride everyday. Carburetors took me a lot of work since there isn’t a specific kit and I needed to adapt suitable pins and jets that I borrowed from a Bandit 600. The exhausts are powder coated as well as the frame and the white rims. The engine has new gaskets. Andrea De Marinis, guru in leather work, built the new seat for me. The painting was performed by Matthew Petaccia Sheastyleab. I chose the red of the new Renault Clio, I liked it because it changes color from day to night, polished and shining in the sun and darker and burnished at night. Brembo clutch master cylinders are from the Ducati Hypermotard".

"Ho comprato le parti principali e armato di mola ho accorciato, tagliato, saldato, piegato e alleggerito tutta la linea del posteriore. - Racconta Simone - Il triangolo di telaio sotto il culo libero da tutto mi faceva impazzire. Tutto l'avantreno è di un CBR 1000, volevo cambiare l'originale perchè era troppo piccolo e sottodimensionato sia meccanicamente che esteticamente. Per poterlo montare mi sono fatto aiutare da Officinazero9 gestita da un mio caro amico, ci siamo messi al PC e tramite CNC ne abbiamo tirato fuori piastra superiore e inferiore con quelle linee particolari. L'impianto elettrico l'ho dovuto modificare completamente spostando tutto sotto sella allungando o accorciando gli svariati cablaggi. All'anteriore ho spostato tutte le spie all'interno del fanale, un lavoraccio. Ho ridimensionato il blocchetto di accensione per utilizzare una semplice chiavetta molto piccola. Le pedane le ho modificare per poterci montare dei pedalini mobili Rizoma che mi erano avanzati dalla Triumph Speed, la mia moto di tutti i giorni. I carburatori mi hanno portato via molto tempo non essendoci un Kit adatto bisogna adattarci spilli e getti del Bandit 600 che monta gli stessi carburatori. Collettori verniciati a polvere alta temperatura, speriamo mantengano, telaio e cerchi anche loro vernciati a polvere. Guarnizioni tutte nuove sul motore. Sella realizzata da Andrea De Marinis, guru nella lavorazione del cuoio. Verniciatura eseguita da Matteo Petaccia Sheastyleab. Ho scelto il rosso della nuova Clio, mi piaceva perché cambia colore dal giorno alla notte, lucido e splendente al sole e più scuro e brunito di notte. Pompe freno e frizione Brembo derivate da Ducati Hypermotard".
